REACH stands for Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Registration of Chemicals. 
It aims at regulating the use of chemical substances within the European Union. One of the requirements of REACH is that manufacturers and importers have a duty to register, for each legal entity, substance that they produce or import in quatities over 1 tonne per year (per manufacturer/importer).
